North Border Analytics, LLC is an independently owned laboratory and field service provider for customers in need of the collection, analysis, or technical advice about soil, water, or forage/crop assessments.
Laboratory Services
We offer a full palate of analytical chemistry services to provide detailed results regarding soil chemistry/fertility, water quality (domestic and environmental), and forage/crop quality
The analytical equipment used to provide rapid and accurate results are:
Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
Flow Injection Analysis
Near Infrared Spectroscopy
UV/Vis Spectroscopy
Sample Collection
If a customer does not have the equipment or time to collect their own samples North Border Analytics, LLC owns the equipment necessary to collect forage, water, and soil samples upon request. We offer soil sample collection year round as the use of an augured soil probe affords us the ability to sample frozen soils to a depth of 36” if requested
Samples can be collected by the customer and shipped directly to the laboratory or dropped off in-person. Please see the “Sample Shipping/Collection” section for instructions.
Crop and forage analyses can be conducted in the laboratory or in the field. If you have interest in having in-field crop nitrogen analyses conducted, or standing/baled forage tested (moisture, protein, ADF, NDF, etc), each analysis can be done on-site and your data will be provided immediately.
Consulting Services
When using the laboratory services provided by North Border Analytics, LLC, consultation services are offered for the following topics:
Crop and forage test plot design and monitoring
Irrigation water management: nutrient application and volume applied
Water quality improvement (watershed scale, stream, and stock pond management)
Consultation is conducted with the owner of North Border Analyics, LLC and is a complimentary service when using the analytical services provided by the laboratory
